Brown and Blue for Now

Sometimes I get tunnel vision when it comes to a color, style or fabric. A few years back it was into Country decor and had a thing for turned legs. After that, it was all about denim. Purchased a camel back denim sofa, made denim print slipcovers for the chairs, denim placemats in the dining room, a cotton striped duvet with matching tab top curtains trimmed both in denim and a denim dust ruffle in the bedroom. Yes I admit I can get obsessed.

Now, I am into mid-century modern and love all things chocolate brown mixed with various shades of blue. Since I am not the bed-in-a-bag kind of person, it takes time to accumulate just the right mix. How thrilled was I when I found The Chocolate Blues and House of Turquoise, devoted to the colors I adore.

Reusable shopping bag from Pier 1 Imports (fits neatly in its own pouch and perfect for saving the earth one bag at a time), fabric panel I made for my bedroom armoire, journal for future use (i have so many) and knobs I bought just because.

As I sit on my denim couch – I could not agree with you more. I too am finding that I am loving the brown and blue tones right now as well as mid century style furniture and light fixtures. Since my home is relatively newly furnished I have been fortunate to “get my fix on” by helping decorate and style my brother’s new bachelor pad! Keep up the great blogs!!
