Damask

Are you familiar with Damask? Although defined as “a reversible fabric of linen, silk, cotton, or wool, woven with patterns”, today the term is used to describe a pattern or design that has evolved into its own category and is no longer limited to a woven fabric and a specific fiber content. Damask patterns can be found in a variety of home furnishings including wall paper, lamp shades, placemats, rugs etc. and can run the gamut from traditional to modern. Because of its usually bold presence, a little goes a very long way.

Love damask! One of my favorite things in my house are my damask curtains, tan background with rust.
