Country Living Fair
I am back from Country Living Fair. I had a great time. I took a lot of pictures that I will share with you over my next few posts.
It was a well attended event. At a presentation, “30 Years of Country Living” I had the pleasure of talking to Chris Allen, newly appointed Publisher of Country Living magazine. He said that there were people from 42 states in attendance on Friday while overall attendance for all three days was estimated at 15 to 20 thousand.
It was a little different than I had anticipated. It was mostly traditional “COUNTRY” while I was expecting a wider spectrum of country that would have included Modern County as well. There was a lot of wicker baskets, distressed furniture, vintage accessories, cloth dolls, quilts, country lighting fixtures, wooden boxes, troughs, etc. There were demonstrations, crafters at work, and great food as well. Have a look for yourself.

Are you heavy into country decor or do you have a few pieces dispersed throughout your home?

What fun! I’m not really into country, but I enjoy reading Country Living every month. I love the pic with the turquoise dresser, table and star! Now that’s my kind of country!
Erin,
I immediately thought of you when I was taking that picture. Because of you, my eye is drawn to everything turqouise.
I love the urban farmhouse chairs!
Thank you for putting the pictures of us in your blog. This was our first year at the Country Living show and we had a really good time. Like you, I have read Country Living for years. Hope we get back in next year.
I was at the 2009 Country Living Fair…it was my first time and I loved it. I purchased a knit OSU bracelet from a vendor who also sold great original purses, sweaters, etc. Unfortunately, I did not pick up a card and I would love to purchase some more bracelets and other items. She was in a standalone booth on a corner…that’s all I remember. Can anyone help?
