It’s Always About Sewing

I am continuing to play with my camera and I just love this shot because it SCREAMS me! Why? Because sewing has been such a major part of my life. Just in case your are new to The DIY Spot, you can read about that here. Anyway, I purchased this Featherweight Singer machine for $25.00 at a local thrift store, well, only because I was drawn to its unique pale green color. Originally purchased on June 8, 1966 for $129.99 (the original receipt was still in the carrying case), it wasn’t running too well. I had it repaired, even though I have no intentions of really using it. Keep in mind, I already have the more popular black model, handed down to me from my mother. Like I said, I fell in love with the color and it made me smile, so I had to have it. If you’re a sewing geek enthusiast like me, you can learn all about these special machines at Singer-Featherweight.com.

Enjoy your weekend!

  1. Sewing is most certrainly DIY as you can so much with it, curtains, pillows and so on and with so much knitted items on the internet it most certainly gone big with the old fabric material
