That is such an interesting piece. How big is it? The wood is so pretty that I think you should stain it, but it all depends on where you want to use it and what it would look like things around it. Can't wait to see what you do.

I couldn't tell what size it was but then you said charging station so I'm guessing its small! You could use it under your house phone too. Use the drawer to hold pens, paper, phone book. You could chalkboard paint on the top so you can jot stuff down quickly! I just can't tell what size it is!

A charging station is a fabulous idea! Just another option...you could paint the base and use teak oil or Howard's on the top. Just a thought.

Post a pic of the spot where you think it will work so we can make suggestions. It's an eccentric piece and could go in a lot of different ways. Hope you'll stop by if you have time. Jane F

I would paint it! It would be so fun if you painted the lid a different color or the drawers. It would be a little different and traditional at the same time!

These are all great ideas! I have such a deep appreciation for all shades of blue, especially blue-grey, teal and turquoise so I think that one of those shades is the way to go. I might already have some knobs that will work but I will definitely check out Anthropology too. Your creative input has been very helpful. Thanks so much!
Note: This piece measures 26" W x 9" H.

I'm new and am a first-time visitor, but what about the darker bluish-grey that's in your blog title? I think it would be beautiful in that color. As far as what to use it for ... I can't tell how big it is, but if the majority goes for charging station, I'm all for it!

I think it would make a great charging station. Hole in the back and devices in the drawer. I would paint it a fun color...teal or yellow and the glaze it. To finish it off a nice bowl on top to collect pocket stuff. Just my 2.....or maybe 5 cents worth. Can't wait to see it.
